Regulations Governing the Nighttime Use of the
Freshmen Classroom Building and Liberal
Education Classroom Building by Student Clubs

Article 1     The National Taiwan University (“the University”) Regulations Governing Nighttime Use of the Freshmen Classroom Building and Liberal Education Classroom Building by Student Clubs (“the Regulations”) are formulated to regulate the nighttime use of the Freshmen Classroom Building and Rooms 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 312 in the Liberal Education Classroom Building by student clubs of the University.

Article 2     In addition to regularly scheduled classes, the Freshmen Classroom Building and Rooms 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 312 in the Liberal Education Classroom Building may be used at night by student clubs for club gatherings, lectures, and workshops. The aforementioned classrooms shall not be used for any other purposes without authorization.

Article 3     Classrooms in the two classroom buildings are available for rent between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during regular semesters. (Both classroom buildings close at 10:00 p.m.; the final 30 minutes are reserved for cleaning and returning classrooms to their original state.) They are closed on national holidays and during summer/winter vacations.

Article 4     Please refer to the appendix for the rental and equipment/air conditioning fee schedule for the nighttime use of the Freshmen Classroom Building and Rooms 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 312 in the Liberal Education Classroom Building by student clubs.

Air conditioning is only available in April, May, June, September, and October (not available during summer vacation).

Article 5     Renting parties are strictly prohibited from turning on air conditioning or any classroom equipment without prior authorization. Violators will be asked to pay for the additional expenses incurred and issued the appropriate penalties. Renting parties shall be liable for any loss of or damage to equipment caused by improper use.

Article 6     The reservation period for the two classroom buildings shall be announced by the Student Activity Center Administration Division each semester.

Article 7     In addition to the Regulations, student clubs shall abide by the Office of Student Affairs’ Student Activity Center Administrative Regulations while using the Freshmen Classroom Building and Rooms 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 312 in the Liberal Education Classroom Building. The same shall apply to any matters not addressed herein.

Article 8     The Regulations shall be passed by the Administrative Meeting and then implemented on the date of promulgation.
